3. What is a normal cycling day like
We have organised our tours for people who are in good physical condition whithout the need to be a professional athlete. Motivation and a positive attitude towards team work is essential . The guide establishes the maximum and minimum speed rates so as to accommodate to all the cyclists within the group . This is very important when cycling in high altitudes where thewre is a risk of high altitude sickness ( apunamiento) . On flat ground the speed rate is aprox. 17 to 25 km/h. On mountain rides , where the slopes are too steep , walking part of the road has been considered an option. After breakfast we start cycling until lunch (aprox. 4 hs), short breaks along the road have been organizad so you can enjoy the view and rest and also allow the party to regroup . Lunch tkes about 1hour . In the afternoon we carry on following the same pattern as in the morning. During the breaks water, juice, hot drinks , snacks and energy boosters such as energy bars , fruits and sweets are served. Those who feel like it have the option to use the support vehicle.
